Dirk Audehm opens his musical suitcase in Schwerin
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, Dirk Audehm will celebrate the premiere of Another Suitcase Full of Covers at werk3 / KlangWert in Schwerin. Together with Thomas Möckel and Hannes Richter, the actor, singer, and theater director combines personal stage presence with a versatile program ranging from ballads to rock to musicals.
An evening between melancholy and new lightness
Dirk Audehm focuses on songs that carry memories while also opening up space for new perspectives. The program spans from Rio Reiser and Heinz Rudolf Kunze to Stephen Sondheim and Holger Biege to Paul Kuhn. Between thoughtful moments, humorous twists, and sentimental sound colors, a concert evening with great stylistic diversity emerges.
Strong voices, precise accompaniment
Audehm is accompanied by Thomas Möckel and Hannes Richter. Their musical collaboration creates the framework for an intimate stage performance where voice, instrumentation, and narrative presence play closely together. The sound remains approachable and direct – fitting for the special atmosphere of werk3 / KlangWert, a small theater and concert venue in the heart of Schwerin.
Covers with a personal touch
The title says it all: Audehm approaches well-known songs not as mere copies, but as starting points for his own interpretations. The concert moves between rock, pop, musicals, and chanson, shifting between soft ballads and more energetic passages, always showcasing the human side of the pieces.
A musical counter-design to the gray everyday life
In a time marked by uncertainty, conflicts, and social tension, Audehm focuses on shared experiences. His concert aims to bring people together, allow a moment of pause, and fill them with musical warmth, humor, and optimism.
Conclusion: This premiere belongs on the live stage
Another Suitcase Full of Covers promises a varied concert evening with well-known songs, surprising transitions, and an immediate live atmosphere. Anyone who wishes to experience Dirk Audehm in the realms of acting, singing, and musical storytelling should not miss the premiere at werk3 / KlangWert.
