Old Town Festival Schwerin 2026: Fair, Music and Lights in the City Center
From October 9 to 11, 2026, Schwerin's Old Town will transform into a three-day festival mile. Between Pfaffenteich, the market, and Schlachtermarkt, the premiere of the Old Town Festival combines music, dance, family programs, gastronomy, fair atmosphere, and illuminated streets into a diverse multi-day experience for all generations.
Four Experience Areas, One Lively Festival Ground
The Old Town Festival is spread across four areas: at Schlachtermarkt, family & friends offers and interactive activities take center stage. The market will serve as a stage for music, dance, and culinary discoveries. On the southern bank of Pfaffenteich, a party zone with DJ tower, dance floors, and lounge areas will be created, while the northern bank awaits with rides and classic fair atmosphere.
Line-up Between Singer-Songwriter, Jazz, and Indie-Rock
The music program brings different sounds to the Schwerin city center. Among others, Bernd-Rolf Smerdka, Die Skeggis, Antje Medwed, and 7deLux will perform at the market. Additionally, Crow Mill Jazz, Lawn Chair, TOMKEN, Static Pulse, the Jazzkombüse, and TØNIX are announced for the evening program. On the southern bank, J-Main, FZUDEMYNN, Jörg Scheffler from Ostseewelle, Pair Glasses, KXXMA, DJ HO, BorkeOne, Karl Kirschmayer, and Marc Slope will provide electronic beats and party energy.

A 36-meter-high Ferris wheel, the chain flyer, a techno bus, and the Local Garden will expand the program. On Friday evening, a grand fireworks display over Pfaffenteich will be a special highlight.
