Christmas Magic from the Box: Puppet Theater for the Whole Family
When a mysterious box opens, a fairy-tale family experience begins at the Cultural Forum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus. In the puppet theater “Christmas Songs from the Box,” children from 4 years old discover a lively music box full of Christmas surprises together with their families.
A Box Full of Imagination
A key turns, the lid lifts, and the theater takes its course. Sometimes an angel appears, sometimes a gnome, and maybe even Santa Claus. The lovingly designed figures invite children to marvel and create a child-friendly atmosphere full of curiosity, joy, and children's laughter.
Christmas Songs to Sing Along and Participate
The program combines sing-along songs with amusing packaging, classical music, and clownish recitations. This way, children experience different sound colors and expressions. The varied staging supports an age-appropriate learning experience: listening, watching, participating, and singing together promote attention, language development, and musical discovery.
Quality Time in Advent
Especially during the pre-Christmas season, the puppet theater provides families with a valuable break from everyday life. Small and large guests experience a warm sense of community, share moments of surprise, and get in the mood for Christmas. The manageable duration of the performance and the recommendation for ages 4 and up make this offer particularly suitable for families with kindergarten and elementary school children.
Dates and Admission
The performances take place on Sunday, December 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the Cultural Forum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus in Schwerin. Admission costs 4 Euros for children and 6 Euros for adults. Tickets are available at the box office of the Cultural Forum.
Conclusion: Christmas Joy Comes to Life
“Christmas Songs from the Box” combines puppet theater, music, and imaginative characters into an atmospheric family experience. Children discover a magical stage world, parents enjoy quality time together, and everyone takes a piece of Christmas joy home. Those who want to enrich Advent with wonder, songs, and children's laughter should experience this puppet theater live in Schwerin.
