Golden Sound Worlds between Chanson, Hit and Grand Stage Music
With Golden 20s - Musical Theatre, KlangWert/werk3 in Schwerin invites you on a musical journey through that brief era in which artistic freedom, social change and unmistakable stage aesthetics came together in an explosive connection. On December 9, 2026, famous melodies and scene images from the 1920s will come to life anew.
An Evening Between Love, Metropolis, and New Beginnings
At the center are hits and songs that resonate even today. I’m All Set for Love opens the curtain to a world of seduction, elegance, and Berlin nightlife. With And the Shark, He Has Teeth, the evening also takes on a sharper, socially critical contour.
The dramaturgy connects musical memories with word and image. Thus, it creates not just a nostalgia program, but an atmospheric musical theatre that makes the contradictory energy of the Golden Twenties visible: hunger for life and uncertainty, glamour and abyss, desire to dance and political tension.
Musical Theatre with Great Stylistic Range
The production spans from popular chanson to classical modernity. In addition to the well-known hits, Maurice Ravel's Boléro will be heard, whose unstoppable crescendo ranks among the most remarkable sound events of the 20th century. It is this contrast that gives the evening its dramatic tension.
In the stage design of the own presentation, sparkling salons, smoky night cafés, and vibrant urban scenes are created. Costume imagination, lighting mood, and acoustics transport the audience to an era whose cultural radiance extends into the present. The audience experiences music history not distantly, but as an immediate stage experience.
An Evening for Lovers of Chanson and Theatre
The event is aimed at all those who wish to experience jazz, chanson, classical music, and scenic presentation in a concentrated theatre atmosphere. A suitable piece of clothing from the 1920s may also be taken from the wardrobe to visually accompany the journey through time.
The performance starts at 7:30 PM and is expected to last until 9:30 PM. Tickets are available at KlangWert on Friedrichstraße 11 and at Schwerin-Info.
Conclusion: Music History Becomes Tangible
Golden 20s - Musical Theatre combines well-known melodies, literary atmosphere, and musical stage art into an evening full of elegance and energy. Those who know the Golden Twenties not only from films and records, but wish to experience their sound world live, will find in werk3/KlangWert a atmospheric place for this journey.
