Classical & More: A concert evening full of contrasts in Schwerin
On Sunday, November 22, 2026, the werk3 / KlangWert in Schwerin transforms into a place of intense sound colors and musical encounters. In the concert Classical & More, the violinist Thorsten Rosenbusch and the pianist Dr. Eckart Möbius come together, merging Baroque depth with passionate virtuosity.
From Bach to Piazzolla: Classical music with breadth and passion
The program takes the audience through different epochs and sound worlds. Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Antonín Dvořák, Pablo de Sarasate, and other composers promise a musical arc of tension between clear forms, romantic melancholy, and vibrant tango avant-garde.
The violin is at the center of the stage performance: sometimes delicately drawn and almost floating, at other times powerfully driven with brilliant articulation. At the piano, Dr. Eckart Möbius creates the harmonic foundation while also providing striking impulses. In the direct acoustics of the small concert venue, an immediate concert experience is created with great closeness between the stage and the audience.
Thorsten Rosenbusch: Experience from the great concert worlds
Thorsten Rosenbusch was the concertmaster for over four decades at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin as well as in the Chamber Orchestra Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Throughout his career, he has worked with conductors such as Simon Rattle, Michael Gielen, Daniel Barenboim, and Peter Schreier. This experience shapes his playing: precise synchronization, differentiated dynamics, and a sophisticated musical interpretation meet audible passion.
Dr. Eckart Möbius at the piano
Dr. Eckart Möbius from Schwerin accompanies the violinist at the piano. In addition to his work as a doctor, he is active as a song accompanist, chamber musician, and composer. The interplay of the two musicians thrives on years of collaboration, attentive conducting in duo, and an interpretation combining technical clarity with emotional warmth.
Live atmosphere in werk3 / KlangWert
Since 2008, werk3 / KlangWert has been a staple for cultural discoveries in Schwerin. The small stage in the Domwinkel stands for immediate audience closeness and versatile concert evenings. In Classical & More, concentrated listening, chamber music intimacy, and the sensual effect of a live-played violin come together.
Conclusion: An evening for classical music lovers and explorers
The audience can expect a varied concert evening featuring Bach, Piazzolla, Dvořák, Sarasate, and further musical highlights. Those who want to experience classical music in a concentrated atmosphere, with virtuosic stage performance and personal closeness, should not miss this evening at werk3 / KlangWert.
