Jazz with cinematic depth: Andrew McCormack Trio ft. Kyle Eastwood in Schwerin
On Saturday, November 21, 2026, werk3 / KlangWert in Schwerin will become a meeting place for modern jazz, blues, swing, and chanson. The Andrew McCormack Trio welcomes American bassist Kyle Eastwood as a special guest for an exclusive concert evening with an international lineup.
Piano, bass, and drums in intense interplay
Andrew McCormack on piano, Kyle Eastwood on bass, and Rod Youngs on drums combine melodic clarity with rhythmic agility. The trio format creates space for precise synchronization, spontaneous improvisation, and a lively stage performance where every musical gesture has an immediate impact.
Between jazz tradition and modern sound language
The concert will feature music from McCormack's current 5-star trio album Luminosity as well as from the album Terra Firma. Expect finely balanced arrangements, dynamic piano passages, and a versatile sound ranging from chamber music intimacy to powerful jazz groove.
International experience on a small stage
Andrew McCormack has worked with renowned musicians such as Randy Brecker, Quincy Jones, Jamie Cullum, Jean Toussaint, and Jason Yarde. For many years, he has also collaborated musically with Kyle Eastwood. Together they contributed to Eastwood's symphonic projects and orchestral arrangements for film scores connected to Clint Eastwood.
Kyle Eastwood initially studied film before deciding on a career as a jazz musician and film composer. His musical work combines jazz, cinematic aesthetics, and a distinctive bass sound. At werk3 / KlangWert, this experience meets McCormack's pianistic orchestration and Rod Youngs' variable conducting at drums.
