Friend N Fellow bring the sonic richness of a whole band to Schwerin

On October 9, 2027, the extraordinary duo Friend N Fellow will perform at Speicher Schwerin. Constanze Friend and Thomas Fellow combine expressive singing, virtuosic guitar work, and an intense live atmosphere into a concert experience that goes far beyond the classic duo format.

One voice, one guitar – and the rest is awe

Friend N Fellow have been on stage together since 1991 and have played more than 1,000 concerts in Europe, the USA, and Asia. Their sound arises from the precise synchronization of voice and guitar: Thomas Fellow shapes rhythmic foundations, percussive accents, and melodic lines with his playing, while Constanze Friend transitions between blues, soul, jazz, and folk with her warm, powerful voice.

Intimacy with great stage presence

The duo's music thrives on reduction and sonic depth. While other formations rely on a large ensemble, Friend N Fellow create an astonishing expanse with sparse orchestration. Every pluck is audible, every vocal nuance carries through the space. This immediate stage performance shapes the audience's mood and makes their concerts intense encounters.

35 years of musical partnership

Friend N Fellow's repertoire includes their own compositions as well as distinctive reinterpretations. Their discography includes albums such as Home, Purple Rose, Taxi, Covered, Crystal, Lady, Discovered, About April, and Characters. On stage, musical experience, fine humor, and a sure instinct for dramaturgy come together.

From international stages to Schwerin

The duo has already performed in renowned venues and festivals in cities like London, Paris, Vienna, New York, Beijing, Shanghai, and Barcelona. Shared stage moments with Ray Charles, Al Jarreau, and Luther Allison underline the project's international appeal. The specialized press described Friend N Fellow as a duo that conjures the sound richness of a whole band.
